21:00 16/3/2012 It takes a lot of persuasion before Summer give in and try Indonesian delicacy. She have this connotation that everything about Indonesian food is stinging spicy. Well, our friendly neighborhood restaurant that specializes authentic Javanese-Indonesian food change her perception.
Waroeng Little Jakarta is a Javanese street food concept. It serves mouth watering food and desserts. Among our personal favorites are Bakso, Rawon, Ayam Bakar and Pepes Tenggiri. And for desserts we both love special Javanese Cendol and Cincau Ijo Bandung.
Though this dish have a mild spiciness, Summer gave a two thumbs up. That means this food pass her taste buds and will consider it as best.
While Sky was heavenly sipping Rawon. A delicacy originated from East Java consisting of special beef soup containing Keluak seed which is generally used in Peranakan cooking. The flat noodles and aromatic soup make this dish overwhelmingly delicious. This food is best serve when hot.
For dessert we settle for Cincau Ijo Bandung. Shaved Ice top with special cream, jelly and red beans. It's a good alternative for Cendol that we usually order.
